Happiness is based on what is going on around you, if you have everything you want, if everything is going your way. But Joy is a power of the Spirit of God in you, in spite of whatever is going on around you, you will rejoice.
God's promises in the Word:
God’s kingdom isn’t a matter of what you put in your stomach, NO. It’s the power of what God does with your life as he sets it right, puts it together, and completes it with joy.
Jesus said, I’ve loved you the way my Father has loved me. Make yourselves at home in my love. If you keep my commands, you’ll remain intimately at home in my love. That’s what I’ve done—kept my Father’s commands and made myself at home in his love. “I’ve told you these things for a purpose: that my joy might be your joy, and your joy wholly mature.
But let all who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice, Let them ever sing for joy; Because You cover and shelter them, Let those who love Your name be joyful and exult in You.
Make me hear joy and gladness and be satisfied; Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.
