“One of the newest figures to emerge on the world stage in recent years is the social entrepreneur. This is usually someone/business owners who burns with desire to make a positive social impact on the world, but believes that the best way of doing it is, as the saying goes, not by giving poor people a fish and feeding them for a day, but by teaching them to fish, in hopes of feeding them for a lifetime.
“They’re [Haitians] sick and tired of non-governmental organizations coming to give them handouts, a little rice here, a little peas here. They need to leave the tent cities and go home. They need work. They need jobs.” -Jean-Yves Jason (Port-au-Prince Mayor)
One of the major problems which the current government in Haiti is facing is the lack of jobs in all sectors of development.

A HAND UP, NOT JUST A HAND OUT
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
YOUR TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS CAN CHANGE THE FUTURE
FROM YOUR COMMUNITY TO THEIRS,
HELP TO BRING A BRIGHTER FUTURE
Picmy 1 is located in the region mountain areas, without transportation it makes getting items to the school very difficult. One of our future projects is buying transportation for the School.
Also when the transportation is not in use for the school, it can be used as a rental, which would bring in extra income.
The Transportation would also help to create employment opportunities for local workers.
We have 8 classes and would like to provide a Computer for each class and one for the office area. Also in order to operate the computers the School would need 2/Generators. Your business could help bring a brighter future to the children, by donating a Computer(s) or Generator(s).
Production/Assembly Line Jobs brought to Picmy Haiti. With mass numbers of people, there would be great profits and opportunity for the families of Picmy 1.
Projects in the areas of agriculture and farming that we would like to start to create employment opportunities for local workers.
This would certainly focus on creating jobs because 90% of the population have some type of expertise in farming.
