Walk worthy, you are called.

ree

Ephesians 4:1"I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called" KJV

The Apostle Paul's way of writing most of his letters to the Church often is divided into sections: the first half is Doctrinal; the second part of the letter is Practical living. This means that it begins with "what we believe" and it ends with "how we are to live" what we say that we believe.

When Paul says that we are to "walk", he is not talking about taking physical steps, but it is about your "conduct" the way you live your life. Your confession must parallel with your conduct.

There is an old saying, "You must walk the talk."

The question then becomes: What does it look like to walk the word?

A- It's more than just coming to Church and reading the Word or having Bible Study about the Word. A life that walks the word: is about when you leave the house of God, do you Live the Word of God?

Does what we nod our heads and say amen to on Sunday, affects what we shouldn't talk about and react to on Monday?

Ephesians 4:1 "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called" KJV

The way you walk:

-To be led by the Holy Spirit and so be at peace within yourself and with one another.

-Walk with all meekness and mildness, with patience supporting each other in love, with patience supporting or bearing together in love.

We are to walk in the newness of life, rather than in our old fleshly ways. We are walk in becoming better and not bitter.

Paul says, "walk worthy." That is, to live a life that exhibits godly character, moral courage, personal integrity, and spiritual maturity behavior—a life that expresses praise to God for your salvation.

OUR WORSHIP IN CHURCH MUST MATCH WHAT WE SAY OUTSIDE THE CHURCH

We say that we believe what Christ has done for us through the cross and the resurrection, then our "walk/conduct must match our faith."

Paul also says, "the vocation wherewith ye are called". Paul is not speaking about you making a decision for an occupation/trade/job. He is talking about the reason for which God has saved you and sent you. He is talking about the Call on your life that God ordained you to fulfill before time began.

Ex: Christ was a carpenter by trade, but that is not the reason he was sent.

He is talking about what God wants to do in you and through you.

Ex. There are people that God will send to you, they will affect you in great ways and you will be a blessing to them as well. Because they were sent/called for your life and you for their life, to fulfill the purpose of God.

But there will be some that come only for a season and for a reason. When that season and reason has past, they will go. The purpose for what God has sent them to you and what you are to do or say in their life is over and they must go.

Paul says, I beseech you to do this, meaning I beg you do this. He says this after fully explaining in chapters 1-3 all that God has done for us through Christ Jesus.

If you are having problems walking worthy, if your walk is not parallel to your talk, then I employ you to reread Ephesians chapter 1-3, and ask the Holy Spirit to open your understanding on what God has provided for you for victory and be blessed.

In the Love of God, if you want to make a difference in the lives of others, would you please make a donation for mission. God bless.
